Those travelling wth Qantas this festive and new year period will be treated with a taste of Country.

Cooee Native Superfoods will have its specially-created native cookies showcased on Qantas flights, a major milestone for Terri-Ann 'Tezzi' Daniel, a Wiradjuri woman and mother of eight, who started the brand on a weekly budget of just $17.90.

The limited-edition packaging was designed specifically for Qantas by young artist Kate Webster, celebrating both the season and Indigenous creativity.

Almost 200,000 Cooee Christmas cookies are expected to be served across the Qantas network, introducing passengers to Indigenous-owned, allergen-friendly food at one of the busiest travel times of the year.

The festive cookie, created exclusively for the airline, is a gingerbread and wattleseed recipe, produced in four Christmas shapes: a circle, star, bell and tree, all lightly dusted with icing sugar.

Ms Daniel said the partnership was a powerful moment for the brand.

"To see something that started at my kitchen bench now being shared with families flying home for Christmas is incredibly special," she said.

"These cookies are about inclusivity. They are made so everyone can enjoy them together, and sharing that on Qantas during such a meaningful time of year feels like a full-circle moment."

The Christmas cookie rollout will be followed by Cooee's Nan's Jam Drop cookie, featuring the native Davidson plum, which will appear across Qantas services in January as part of the airline's ongoing catering program.

Ms Daniel said forecast orders indicated strong demand into 2026, with hundreds of thousands of cookies scheduled across the summer travel period.

The Qantas partnership followed a period of rapid expansion for Cooee Foods Australia, which recently acquired Creative Native Foods, one of the country's longest-running suppliers of Native ingredients to leading restaurants, tourism operators and hospitality venues.

The acquisition brought the 25-year-old business under Indigenous ownership for the first time and strengthened Cooee's presence across both retail and food service.

Cooee also expanded into pet care with the launch of Bunji, a native-inspired dog food and treat range available nationally through Bunnings Warehouse.

The Bunji range uses Australian ingredients and Native botanicals, extending Cooee's mission of inclusivity and respect for Country to every member of the household.
