Indigenous owned toilet paper company Yarn'n will be stocked in Woolworths supermarkets and online from this month.

Yarn'n was founded in 2023 by Wiradjuri man Lane Stockton, alongside former Wallaby David Croft.

The pair launched the e-commerce business after conversations about sustainability and a shared goal to create jobs on Country.

The product is FSC-certified and made from 100 per cent recycled materials in Australia.

It uses 50 per cent less water and 90 per cent less energy in the manufacturing process.

Yarn'n produces three-ply, extra-length toilet paper and delivers across the country.

Mr Stockton said the partnership with Woolworths supports Yarn'n's mission to inspire and educate the next generation.

"Yarn'n was founded on mateship and a deep desire to educate, unite and inspire the next generation, so we're delighted to have Woolworths on board as our exclusive supermarket partner," Mr Stockton said.

"Our collective goal is to make Yarn'n available in more homes, businesses and workplaces across the country, creating a lasting impact and helping bring about real change for First Nations children through the incredible work of the Yalari Foundation."

Half of all profits go to the Yalari Foundation, which offers boarding school scholarships to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from regional and remote areas.

In 2024, the foundation supported nearly 250 students and has produced more than 480 graduates since 2005.

Each Yarn'n roll is wrapped in recycled paper featuring original designs by First Nations artists.

Artwork by Eastern Arrernte and Western Bundjalung man Ambrose Killian will be used for the Woolworths distribution.

Titled Beneath the Surface, the artwork explores ancient stories of water, knowledge, and harmony with Country.

Yalari Founding director, Waverley Stanley AM, said the increased access to Yarn'n products would support the foundation's work.

"Yarn'n has always been committed to making a positive difference to the next generation of First Nations children, and this new partnership with Woolworths will mean more Aussie households can get behind the life-changing work that Yalari prides itself on," Mr Stanley said.

Woolworths Group Category Manager, Tim Moffatt, said the company was proud to back the initiative.

"Yarn'n is a fresh take on a household staple and most importantly, it is a brand with heart that is not only sustainable and locally-made but most importantly, Yarn'n proudly gives back to the next generation of First Nations children – our future leaders," Mr Moffatt said.
