Indigenous business development service Yarpa has celebrated the latest graduates from its signature business accelerator program, Yarpa Grow.
Fourteen First Nations businesses took part in Yarpa Grow 2026, representing industries including marketing, recruitment, capital raising and arboriculture.
Across eight weeks Yarpa said participants showed their commitment to business success and sustainability by participating in eight training modules plus one-on-one weekly sessions with a dedicated business consultant.
They included Yana Ngurra Counselling and Wellbeing founder, Neridah Laban.
"If you have no idea where to begin or the direction you feel best suits you - reach out to YARPA start the conversation, even partake in the programs like Yarpa Grow and grow your knowledge for you and your business today, I do not regret it neither will you," Ms Laban said.
NSWALC Chairperson, Dr Ray Kelly, congratulated the 2026 Yarpa Grow graduates on completing the 12-week business accelerator program.
"NSWALC established Yarpa because Aboriginal businesses need Aboriginal-led support, strong networks and access to genuine economic opportunities. We know Aboriginal businesses create jobs, build wealth and strengthen communities," Chairperson Kelly said.
"The success of these graduates reaches far beyond their individual businesses. Strong Aboriginal businesses employ Aboriginal people, support families, and keep money circulating within our communities.
"Each graduate should feel proud of what they have achieved. NSWALC looks forward to following their progress and celebrating their future success."
Yarpa Grow 2026 participants came from across NSW and beyond, including Sydney, Central Coast, Wagga Wagga and Brisbane.
Yarpa director, Shannon Mallison, said Yarpa Grow was intentionally designed with Yarpa members in mind.
To have businesses at all different stages of the business life cycle, representing such a broad range of industries participating in Yarpa Grow demonstrates the ongoing positive impact this program has," Ms Mallison said.
