Officeworks kicking goals with Clontarf Foundation

David Prestipino -

As we celebrate NAIDOC Week events of 2025, Officeworks is honouring 50 years of elevating Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience

The company said its People and Planet Positive Plan is focused on inclusion, building respectful relationships and empowering First Nations communities.

The company has a national partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, which is dedicated to improving education, employment, and life outcomes of Indigenous boys and young men.

Clontarf Foundation regional manager Jason Fenwick said the collaboration has led to employment pathways and development opportunities at Officeworks, to help prepare students for long-term success.

"Clontarf exists to support young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men to attend school regularly, stay engaged, complete their education, and transition successfully into meaningful employment," he said.

"Our wrap-around program includes daily pick-ups, early morning training sessions, and inspiring camps among other targeted activities.

"It is designed to equip students with necessary tools to enjoy their schooling experience, and help guide their journey beyond school."

Proud Kooma and Murrawarri man Kynan Lamb, a Clontarf Harristown alumnus, began working at Officeworks four years ago through Clontarf's program.

He has since finished school and progressed through the business to a leadership role at the Toowoomba store, where he continues to be a role model for Clontarf students.

Officeworks Toowoomba business manager Tina Foelz said Kynan was a passionate advocate for the Clontarf program, playing a key role embedding it into her store.

"Kynan's journey exemplifies the strength, vision, and legacy celebrated in this year's NAIDOC Week theme: The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," she said.

The partnership with Clontarf Foundation was vital to building a diverse, inclusive team that reflected communities Officeworks serve.

"With more than 30 Clontarf students and alumni currently employed across our network of stores, we remain committed to strengthening this partnership and continuing the important work of creating meaningful education and employment pathways for young Indigenous men," Ms Foelz said.
